License / Usage

The Go Engineer is a source-available educational project.

It is designed for personal, educational, and non-commercial learning use.

The goal is to help developers learn Go, backend engineering, architecture, validation, CI, observability, migrations, and production-shaped software development.

What you can do

You may use The Go Engineer for:

  • personal learning
  • educational study
  • non-commercial practice
  • reading and exploring the curriculum
  • running examples locally
  • learning from the Opslane flagship backend
  • referencing concepts in your own learning notes

Commercial use

Commercial use requires written permission.

This includes using the project, curriculum, examples, or substantial derived material as part of:

  • paid courses
  • commercial training
  • bootcamps
  • corporate education programs
  • paid products
  • commercial templates
  • monetized learning platforms

Why source-available?

The Go Engineer is publicly readable because learning should be accessible.

At the same time, the project represents a large amount of curriculum design, engineering work, writing, validation, and system-building.

The source-available license protects the project from commercial reuse without permission while still allowing learners to study and benefit from it.
